| Rabbi Rosen is mistaken to state that `the historical core of Christianity is convert or die`. Baptism is not valid if coercion is used. Historically large numbers of people did convert to Christianity when it became the religion of the leader/king. That was because unity of religious belief was seen in those dim dark ages as an essential component of membership of the nation ... just as it is today in 2008 in Israel. |
