I foresee dramatic events in Lebanon.

He will be tried and sentenced for having murdered innocent civilians in cold blood.

The Lebanese Human Rights activists will hold a rally demanding an exemplary punishment for this monster.

Nasrallah will appear on Al Manar saying that such murderers are a disgrace and that he personally is ashamed of being Muslim and Lebanese (just as Rabin said of himself after Goldstein) and most of the Lebanese and Hizballah leaders will say the same, just like all the Israeli government members, all Knesset members and the huge majority of Israelis said back then.

Nasralah will eventually point out that the Israelis didn`t lynch Kuntar but brought him to court, which has a thing or two to say about Israel.
potobac says:

"My recollection is that there was a street battle going on at the time, and US military doctrine is to use artillery and air power to save the much higher casualty rates which would result if we sent in grunts".

This reminds me of an operation in Jenin where the IDF lost 23 soldiers because they wanted to avoid exactly that, and tried to spare Palestinian civilian lives.
