There is no scientific evidence connecting the fish cages to the condition of Eilat`s reef. Years of sewage poured into the bay as well as the pollutants from the port and tons of light sand poured onto the beaches by the hotels as well as the warming of the area, are the more probable culprits.
Removing the cages are a case of fashionable greenism. The last thing done when removing the cages was relocating the corals that were growing under them.
The motives of Tzalul are questionable as are other targets of the leaders of the so called greens. |
