And, lest anyone forget, it was Hamas who first compromised when it dropped its original insistence that the West Bank be included immediately in any cease fire.
As for the return of Shebaa Farms, that land is of no real value to Israel, and it`s the subject of another one of Condoleezza Rice`s foreign policy flip-flops. So why not give in to Rice on Shebaa and make her think she`s accomplished something?
George Bush`s legacy in the history books: if not bringing "democracy" to the Arabs, at least bringing Shebaa Farms home to Lebanon. He can really brag about that !! |
