Maybe these three students are being imprisoned in Gaza by Israel because Israel is afraid that they might let the world know how horrible life is in Gaza. Maybe they will tell of the home demolitions that destroyed many homes in Rafah. Maybe they will tell of the missiles that come hurtling through the air aimed at "wanted" persons but often killing civilians, including women and children. Maybe they will tell the world that Gaza is the world`s largest outdoor prison confining a million and a half people between Israeli walls and the sea.
Finally, it seems like every time the US makes a request of Israel, Israeli authorities thumb their collective noses at the country that has kept them in business for decades. Maybe it is time for the US to make Israel pay a price for the US tax dollars that flow so lavishly into Israeli coffers. |
