| Your proposal would be just as valid as the one demanded by Syria except for one problem - the international community considers that the Golan Heights is Syria`s sovereign territory, and Syria knows it. They therefore have (almost) the entire world on their side on this matter, and that is why Syria would never agree to peace with us unless the Golan Heights is returned to them. If we feel that we have a justification to keep this land, we need to convince the international community of it. |
