how about this idea?
syria gives us all the land up to and including damascus - and in return for that, WE give THEM peace
of course, this is a ridiculous idea, and i am being scarcastic. but how is it any different from what is currently being discussed.
this is not a peace negotiation. it is blackmail. if a mugger comes up to you on the street and says "if you give me your wallet, i won`t shoot you", that is NOT a peace negotiation. that is a mugging.
i am in favor of peace. i will personally shake hands with assad in forging a peace treaty - but i won`t give up the golan for it. why is there no talk of just declaring peace right now, with the borders as they are? why is there a prerequisite for israel to buy it? |
