I was born in Barcelona and from all parts of my family we fought on one way or other against Franco.
Little bit of history: In the 30`s Spain was the youngest and most vibrant democracy in Europe, Barcelona was the cultural center in all branches of art, literature, etc...
The civil war divided Spain in two and flought ferociously. In the republican side, many were killed, many emigrated to Sud Amreica or Sud of France, and some had no place to go, and osme came back afterwards.
Franco died old in his sickbed...we celebrated with champany bottles, Carrero Blanco was killed by ETA...we celebrated with champany..... |
