| This is such a shame. Back in 2004, Israel cancelled the transfer of Kuntar back to Lebanon, because they claimed that Hezbollah knew something of Arad. Hezbollah claimed that they did not, a truth which Olmert now accepts. Hezbollah, honestly said that they did not have info on Arad, and said because of Israel reneging on the deal, they would be forced to capture more soldiers. And they did as they promised, as they were forced to do, on July 12, 2006. Why did Israel put Hezbollah in a position where soldiers had to be captured, and cause a war that did not need to be fought? All the blood and death since then is the sole responsibility of the Israeli policy maker that chose to renege and cancel the transfer of Kuntar to Lebanon in 2004. All the deaths since then were unnecessary and a result of Israeli intransigence. |
