Title:Germany is an attractive place for a Jew to live
Name:Dimitrij
City: KirchgartenState:
I immigrated to Germany to find a better life for me and my family. Absorption support is great, and there is a large Russian community by now, including Jews. For people like me who want to succeed in life, it was no contest between suffering job and housing discrimination in Israel or building a successful career and life in Germany. In Israel, my professional degree (M.D.) was not recognized. Here, they are happy for me to work in the local hospital (needed to learn German). In Israel, I could never have a reasonable flat in a good neighborhood. In Germany, it took about 6 months after arrival. Kids learn English in elementary school. They may want to live elsewhere in Europe or the US. All opportunities are open to them. It was a good decision.
