If you want to really help our country then change the political system and make our politicians more accountable to their constituency. No one in government is accountable to a local population for their electability. ALL politicians owe their soul to the party. This has caused and instigated more corruption and insensitivity by officials to the public need than any other action.
We need direct elections in order to create personal political accountability by our elected officials. With out that we don`t stand a chance. Let us learn through our history. Clearly we can trace the rampant neglect of the needs of the population by the simple fact that "our" political leaders and appointed officials through party patronage has created our poverty of spirit. Not the wars, inequality, nor the disparagement in the economic arena. If you Want to truly help fight for our rights then I dare you to be honest and become a spokesperson for this most important change. |
