| History is part of the Land. An Englishman living in China,he can`t relate himself to a China man.He belong more to his History than to where he lives & work etc. A Jewish man who lived in Iraq and his ancestors came and lived in Iraq is never an Iraqi,his History is in the Land of Israel to that land he pray & belong, to that land he search for his History.He might never been in that land but that is where his home is.That is why he is called *The Wandering Jew* which is the Jew looking for his Home.The similarity with the Irish man Many Palestinians live in Transjordan,none of them look at other country as their home. Many of them had orange trees and beautiful houses in Palestine but that dosen`t makes them not Jordainians. I also had TWO orange trees in Iraq but that dosn`t made me an Iraqi ! Besides there are new orange trees every spring & new beautiful houses every winter. |
