I assume this also applies to all those jews who came from Europe, the Americas, Russia, etc. during the period of the British Mandate and, indeed, all the long decades after 1948??? Which would be, oh, pretty much all of the Jews of Israel, would it not???? If I read your "logic" correctly then only those Jews who never left the land after the Romans scattered all the rest of them to the four winds really count. All the rest are Johnny-come-lately`s who have no real claim to be regarded as indigenous to the land now called "Israel". Which would be, well, about as many as could fill a really teeny-tiny synagogue, I would suggest... |
