I read a lot about how a halt to military reprisals on Gaza for the relentless firings on Sderot would do more to bring about peaceful negotiations with Hamas; not least of all in a Haaretz editiorial in today`s edition.
I find this hard to believe, in light of Hamas`history. But then, what do I know? So I`ll ask one simple question: Couldn`t the theory be put to the test? Would we then not be able to see and prove, one way or the other, whether such a policy invites a cease fire on the Hamas side or more and bigger raids on Israeli toens? |
