I need to write a little correction to this article. I will not dispute the main thesis that Rydzyk is antisemite. But he`s above all a extreme nacionalist and he doesn`t like not only Jews but Germans, Russians and other nations related to Polish history as well. I can agree that he`s constantly criticizing American Jews and telling around antisemitic stereotypes, especially those related to money and power, but accusing him of denying holocaust is at least act of bad will. In second World War died 6 million Polish citizen: above 3 milion Jews and above 2 million ethnic Poles. I don`t think that denying holocaust by a Pole is possible.
I`m writing this, because on the contrary to 90% of his criticizers i`ve listened to his radio. It`s very conservative station, people are mainly praying during the broadcast, sometimes they invite scientists, politicians, writers etc. They criticize Jews, but i`ve never heard that they were denying holocaust or propagating hatred. |
