Israel`s neighbors seem to live under an illusion that they are entitled to anything they want, that their claims are all just and reasonable and people should rush to meet them. Well, rubbish! Lebanon committed acts of aggression against the nascent state of Israel in 1948, and the established state in 2006. It hosted PLO militants who committed aggression against Israel through the early 1980s, and Hizbullah militants who have done likewise since.
Israel never had any claims on Lebanon, but suffered aggression from its territory nonetheless. The Sheba Farms territory was seized from Syria in a defensive war, and is by rights Israel`s now to do with as it pleases. |
