| What if Bush doesn`t do a thing and Israel cannot end Iran`s nuclear project (due to its limited capabilties) and finally Iran gets the N Bomb? Iran won`t be the beginner in any nuclear conflict, but the Israeli nuclear hegemony in the ME will be over. Then, Israel`s deterrence, or whatever remained of it post-2nd Lebanon War, will be obliterated. Israelis will have to learn how to turn the other cheek and a blind eye to Iran`s croonies in the area. It`s imperative that Hizb et al, will attack Israel from time to time just to keep things hot and Israel will respond, as usual, through limited air strikes (because they lost the fighting spirit of the founders). Meanwhile Iran will further develop its Nuclear arsenal and delivery capabilities till it is sure that it can obliterate Israel by one N blow. Then, they`ll provoke a major confrontation and God knows if anyone will survive. Maybe Isaiah`s Book of Comfort will materialize, but can you be sure of that? |
