| Three factors: 1. Serious mistakes of the West. Old strategies a la "Old-Europe-Rumsfield" (a future classic right next to "If you cross the Halys River, you will destroy a great empire"-Croesus) with - cynical - short term goals and multithousand-year history of, well, proven failure: strengthen Hamas against PLO; strengthen Mujahedeen/Taliban against Russia; strengthen Saddam, then destroy him, against Iran;... Ahem, it`s shameful. 2. International development and subsequent change in world hegemonies. 3. Iran has an agenda and knows how to act on it. As opposed to most countries in the ME. I understand the anger and shouting. It`s frightening, considering the anti-Semite, women and minority hater Ahmadinejad becoming so powerful. But folks, it`s time for a reality check.
