I would say as far as Iran os concerned Bush being in the final months of his presidency now the heat is off him and he might just issue one last order as commander in chief to drop bombs on Iran.
Bush & Cheyney especialy have allways seemed to see a millitary operation as the pefereable to diplomatic games.
Its also posssible Bush will do a secret deal with Israel same as the British & French did in 1956 when they wanted to invade Suez they got Israel to attack Sinai but then stop short of the Suez then the British and French forces would come in act as peace keepers and take back the canal.
Maybe Bush will do a deal whereby Israel will make itself look like the aggresor and send in some jets of its own but their purpose is to provoke Iran into starting a war then the American fleet can come along send hundreds of jets and cruise missles to destroy not only the Iranian neuclear sites but airfields, ships in port, rocket sites make sure Iran is a threat to nobody for the next decade. |
