Regardless of our feelings about the war in Iraq & the Bush Administration, does anyone here really BELIEVE that we can talk to `those people` RATIONALLY???? Are they really going to pay any attention at all to what we say? Or accept any of our reasoning?
Their mind is simply made up that Islam will rule the world & destroy Western culture. Read any of the many `politically incorrect` books, including those written by Muslems or other Arabic people. Islam has always been at war with a free and open society.
Everybody pushes for UN sanctions but, IMHO, those have never worked since there are always governments & people willing to ignore them. Look at how France did business with Iraq/Sadam on sanctioned items.
Have UN sanctions ever accomplished anything, especially in regards to whaat they were supposed to stop or prevent? |
