| The idea of creating a new country to be called Palestine was a mistake. It was not wrong to try but at this point we must admit that all the prophecies of the right wing from the 80s and 90s were correct. Going down this path of creating a new political entity has only created a path thru which extremist groups can take hold and once they take hold they will not let go. The longer it takes all sides to realize this and change course, the harder it will be to change. Abbas and Fayyad may mean well, but what will happen after them? |
