An appropriate capital for diaspora Jews could be, say: Edinburgh, Barcelona, Paris, Brussels, Berlin, Amsterdam, Manchester, London, San Francisco... The very last place that I would choose would be the Zionised version of Jerusalem, the stuffiest most repellant spot in the universe.
