fyi, Palestine was once part of greater Syria even. How far back history should go to consider "whose" land something is, is clearly a matter of debate.
however, if you have to go back to the 1st Temple that is utterly ridiculous.
Obviously, there was no such thing as a nation of Syria that far back- but nor can ancient Jews who might have walked across this land thousands of years ago - along with many other people- lend any justification for modern arrivals to lay claim to it.

It was grabbed in war in the modern era, in a manner that is not acceptable to the rest of the world. Period.

Try not to carve out a historical narrative that is so self serving. The people living on the Golan were arabs, speaking arabic, and practicing basically an islamic religion.
