I saw one headline, either British or Israeli or Lebanese paper, that stated "Ex-Klan member supports Obama" or similar words.
The occasion was that Senator Bird of W. Virginia announced that he was backing Obama. Many years ago Bird was evidently a Klan member.
The idea that the KKK should support somebody with black blood in him is really laughable. Of course they would also not like Hillary Clinton`s New York City ties to the Jewish community (Bill Clinton told an audience he would "die in the trenches" for Israel).
The KKK most likely would support one of the right wing fringe party candidates, though possibly McCain.
The only way the KKK would support Obama would be as a "spoiler" hoping to wreck the Democrat Party`s chances so McCain could get in. |
