| Although I am among the minority Independents it`s no secret that most Jews in the US are liberal Democrats and will support Obama. American Jews have always been at the forefront of civil rights for blacks, women, gays and any other oppressed minority and although Israel is on their list of priorities it is not number one or number two in terms of how they vote. All of the focus on Obama`s Jewish problem is no more than a media invented farce. I am giving him serious consideration and I`m thrilled that a black man is in the running for the first time ever. It`s really a milestone for race relations in the US and Obama is inspiring, brilliant and could be our next president. He made his views on Israel perfectly clear and I have no doubt that he will be as supportive as any president in history and probably more than some. The NY Times is no longer the authority on anything as far as I am concerned and it is becomming less relevant by the day. |
