I can`t find an explanation for the vagueness of his answers to the interviewer and the meticulous precision of his book (that I`m currently reading). The guy refers to events in the disputed territories that no one hears about, that are not even reported in the most anti-Israel press, concluding his enumeration by "...that kind of stuff...". He doesn`t seem to give any thought to what are his sources. He also draws parallels between Israel, USA and the nazis while it seems that the only thing he actually denounces is war, which is very often a two sides activity, only for him, one side matters much more. Having been raised in a jewish home, it`s hard to believe that he could think exactly like those self-hating, guilty-ridden, post-modern westerners, except if he`s actively trying to escape his roots, maybe out of fear. The paragraph when he says that people who`d want to kill him for being jewish even if he doesn`t feel like one are "raving idiot" is revelating. Poor strange guy. |
