| It is absur to suggest that Israel is a product of the Holocaust. What do you make of 300+ years of Jewish history, Hebrew origins, constant presence, uninterrupted Zionism (not always political)....Jesus, the dead sea scrolls, Bar Kochba, the Arizal, the Sefardi Jews of Hebron and Jerusalem? It is a cop out to say the Holocaust was the cause of Israel and the Pals` "nakba". The Pals were the latests in a series of occupiers - with no more or less claim to the land than the British, Ottomans, Mamluks, Byzantines before them. AND the Pals were important in bringing about the final solution and the Shoah (Haj Amin Husseini anyone? look it up). Enough with this misinformation. Israel has more of a claim on its land, without the Holocaust, than any Arab country except for Arabia. They are all the product of imperialism - and still subjugate their natives (Berbers, Maronites, Kbils, Copts, Assyrians etc.). Stop whining. |
