A simple reading of Peter SM`s post would tell you,brilliant "professor",that what he asks is "how many" universities were there,not wether there were any universities at all.That there were only two before the "occupation" while there are several now indicates that Peter has a point.
Also,I seriously doubt that many Europeans dreamed of attending these "best universities",when there was Oxford,Cambridge,the Berlin University etc etc in their continent.
The French even had the expression "bon pour l`Orient",for these ME universities.
So don`t use this as another excuse to bash Israel and the Jews |
