i think what they mean is that Syria having the Golan doesn`t increase the risk of attack, which i dont agree i think it`ll lead as a hot spot for a new proxy war, 2nd if Syria not only refuses to cut ties with Iran, but also strengthens those ties in the talks to receive the Golan back, then Israel really doesn`t gain any advantage from the concession, if Syria still refuses a real peace when offered the Golan then one must wonder what are they really after if not the Golan? to what purpose does the peace talks really hold for Israel? how would Israeli`s benefit from this deal? the answer is maybe in short terms it`ll seem like Israel has a safer northern border, but if they concede again like they did in Gaza, it`ll send 1 msg, Israel is losing the overall war, they`re borders are shortening in wake a terrorism, this is will only give more hope to terrorist to perform more attacks
