I agree. Rather than be a meeting place for two sides to discuss, the TB`s have become a bastion of racism and disinformation. You have to wade through so much trash to get to the quality posts.
I know that it costs money to pay censors, but that`s what should have been done. The TB`s should have been monitored more thoroughly. There should have been a queue and if a post didn`t meet standards, it just wouldn`t appear. People would have adjusted.
I think that if you want to improve the quality of the TB`s, that`s the route you`ll have to take. Appealing to people`s sense of morality won`t work, unfortunately. Can`t you employ highschoolers to do the job? Or have university students doing it part time on rotation? There are plenty of other news sites with TB`s that are just as bad as Ha`aretz`s. The bar should be raised on this one, and the reputation will be better because of it. On forums, the TB`s are known as the lowest of the low. It`s a shame. |
