| The talkback forum could be for discussion, and I found in Armenia they censored all the crap and left only the few that added to a dialogue. In a communist controlled country, one that controls or closes down the newspapers and prevents any form of communication between citizens other than what is state approved, it is hard to get information or form an opposition. I really cry when I see how totalitarians operate. Many of them no doubt use this forum in the same way, being used to humiliate and "imprison" the opposition. I think it is good to show them we can fight back. No doubt the internet will be used for propaganda purposes and will reach more people than ever before and the messengers of evil will be able to spread their hatred more than before. However, one Time correspondent was hopeful that the "pajama warriors" as she called them could DO GOOD. |
