I`ve moved over to where it`s called football, so call it so. Still, I suggest you study the history of the game. It was referred to as soccer in the in the UK for a long time, transitioning to generic football as it went more international.
As the US already had a game called football by the time the big internationalization came, the US kept the name soccer while the UK, without American style football, switched over to the word others were using.
Both are accurate and anyone on either side of the pond who things the term matters is silly. |
