| The Bahais have always been persecuted to some degreee or another in Iran. With the Islamic Repiblic now things are worse. Several Bahais have been excuted without a trial, even two consecutive elected Baha`i nacional Assemblies of 9 members were executed in the 80`s. Right to own property and education have denied, including Bahais accused of prostitution because their marriages are recognized by the ayatollah`s regime. So these recent arrests and just the latest in an ongoing campaign to wipe out the Bahai community in the country of its birth |
