Israel never took any land from the Hizbollah in 1948 because there was no Hezbollah in 1948, Nor did Israel take any land from Lebanon in 1948: the border with Lebanon is the international border (the Blue Line - look at a map).
As for Hamas, it did not exist in 1948 either, but the Palestinian Arab leadership that did exist rejected the Nov. 29, 1947 UN General Assembly decision on partition and began attacks on Palestinian Jews. Then, when it turned out that the Jews were winning, the Palestinian leadership fled, leaving their own people leadership and without direction.
When, on May 14, 1948, Israel declared its independence, it was attacked by Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iraq (actually, Lewbanon never sent any troops), and it was Egypt and Jordan who occupied the land originally intended for a Palestinian state for 19 years, |
