| Hello Gieon Levy, I am all for saving the newspapers and our children from the internet. People don`t realize the importance of the daily newspaper in their every day life and especially in keeping societies free and open from away from Big Brother. I saw a column in the Chronicle of Higher Education and the author had an idea to keep certain newspapers, I felt whose time had come for many locals too. (I read 3-4 newspapers a day and more if I can! ) Dutch ( http://chronicle.com/free/v54/i35/35a03201.htm ) P.S. I recall with fondness from reading The Christmas Peace of 1914 how soldiers on different sides of trenches placed a stone in their newspapers and tossed them back and forth over the trenches. I have no doubt it helped foster goodwill and eventually the Christmas truce! |
