Well, Pal Brit, you might be on the right track:
Palestinians need peace, not armed resistance. They need to live harmoniously with their neighbours and they will never have that if their elected Hamas government doesn`t speak to Israel or persists in treating Jews as non-humans who can be killed at will. The Israelis don`t need peace at any price - they just need peace which is just and fair and they will wait for as long as it takes. They are so used to their position defending against foreign aggression that the only acceptable change has to be nothing more than the publicly stated commitment by the Hamas government to live in peace with Israel. |
