| Livni`s opportunity to become the next Prime Minister arrived at the end of the failed Second Lebanese War. She laid into the conduct of that war but couldn`t bring herself to resign. Like all of Israel`s crummy politicos, she enjoyed strutting around in the limelight too much. Had Livni resigned at that moment and spent her time in the wilderness, building an alternative set of policies to Olmert, she would have had a chance. Now it`s too late. Ambition and ego on her part made her miss the moment. |
