| Most of these comments smell of spoilt kids resentful of the successes of their parents. Jews being accepted by other nations is a relatively brand new phenomenon in our world, and we are still not there. We didn`t reestablish Israel because it was a cute idea, we did it out of desperation to survive. We didn`t flock to the US because of the need to indulge a travel bug, but because we desperately needed safety. Our parents fought so we could access the internet, not experience pogroms etc etc. Rather than whine about their indulgences, thank G-d that they did it. Now let`s take responsibilty for the challenges of our generation - how to be accepted without giving in. Orthodox, Reform, Elite organisations are trying - and together they are all failing. Stop pointing fingers - whine - whine -whine. Be part of the constructive conversation. If you don`t like the elite who do this in better and only partially effective ways, challenge them, join them, but stop the spoilt brat whining. |
