Experience means nothing.
I actually think that the preconceived ideas the old republican guard has are a major hinderence. New ideas will advance the dialogue and bring about peace. The longer we go without talking to/with our enemies, the more hatred will exist between us. How many time have we found out that someone we thought was mean and nasty was actually a really nice person once we took a chance and engaged them in a conversation? We cannot just stand with our backs against each other waiting for something to happen. |
