| Lets talk jewish political culture.it is a mix of anarchy and oligarchy.In the old countries, the wealthy and educated amoungst the community were expected to be public benefactors, giving of their tiem money and themselves to intercede with the gentile authorites.Most jews were far too poor to concern themselves with these matters.As a result political power in the community also became an elite thing.Now in the old country thats how things worked.the Jewish elite and the gentile elite ran their worlds.In north america this sulture continues to exist and as such we get it modern version the "macherarchy".Now these machers do alot for the community its true,however their comes with this a sense of entitlement and ego mongering that creates many problems as well.Organisatiosn are run like private fiefdoms,jewish communities are heavily divided into a whole range of poltical and social clans, like spar with each other all the time...... |
