| Hamas wants to show the Palestinian street (what else is new in their primitive modus operandi, instead of dialogue as well as their power struggle with Fatah) that they are the ones to make Israel capitulate to agreeing to a ceasefire. A military response will not make them go away, but what will really diminish their position in the eyes of the Palestinian street is a peace agreement between Abbas and Olmert. They really deserve to be excluded given the havoc they are causing and having destroyed much trust. Hamas and factions have set the agenda the last 3 years and this is regrettable because they are ill-equipped to provide for the Palestinian people with such votilaty and unhelpful rhetoric. |
