If by breaking the genocidal siege of Gaza launched by the Olmert government Egypt forced Israel to confront it`s policies, this would be a good thing.

Israel needs peace. It needs to have stabile borders. It cannot have those things so long as it prevents any government except that of the most ruthless to exist in Gaza and the West Bank.

The Olmert regime has sought upon every border and every chance to destroy any hope for peace or effort towards it.

Hamas convinced Egypt that it cannot afford to allow Israel to continue to follow lunatic policies, dictated by criminally incompetent men.

Thus Egypt has tried very hard to speak reason to the Omert regime.

It has failed to achieve the slightest intelligent response.

And now it must do what it has to to keep from seeing a repeat of the tidal wave of starving Palestinians repeated.
