Tamir, get it loud and clear, the majority of the camps were in Poland because that is where the majority of Europe`s Jews were, and the Nazis were nothing if not efficient.
It is high time that these high school pilgrimages to Poland be nixed. Have there not been enough stories about the terrible behavior exhibited by the young people on these trips to make it obvious to any mature person, that one need be more grown up to handle the intensity of the subject matter? Simply putting the kids in a place without a bar and porno films, does not reduce the fact that for the overwhelming majority of teenagers such trips are nothing more than free time away from their parents. Enough with the institutionalization of victimhood as a means to impart a positive self-identity as Jews. It is beyond a shame that this is all we have to offer our young people.
Lastly,the Polish people`s persistence in extending their support to Israel in the face of such a reality, should be received gratefully |
