Do you honestly envision Hamas et al ceasing its terrorist activities the moment Israel stops trying to stop them? Was not the withdrawal a signal to cease all hostile activities? You know as well as I do that any restraint on Israel`s part is interpreted by those machos as "weakness" rather than a gesture. Gestures are far to subtle for some people, who snicker behind their backs each time Israel tries to compromise or reach out.
And by the way - since when is showing restraint against those who wish to harm your people a sign of "shining democracy"? |
