Hizbollah: Hizbollah was created with the goal of chasing all the invaders out of Lebanon. At the time, this meant Israel and America. Hizbollah completed this task which allowed Lebanon to regain some stability after their civil war. Lebanon is a relatively weak nation and Israel is a regional superpower on their border. Israel previously invaded Lebanon and Israel recently bombed the H out of Lebanon. Hizbollah stands alone against these Israeli actions. Is it a waste of their lives? Apparently they think not and I agree.
Do I admire Hamas and Hizbollah? Let me answer this way... I admire a person or group who will stand and die in his tracks rather than knuckle under to a despot. I respect the feelings of a teenager who has developed an honest hate which has grown so strong that he will cast a stone at the object of his hate, knowing he will likely be killed as a result. I feel for an underdog fighting for a righteous cause. Shalom |
