Title:to David #25
Name:zeev
City: Beer-ShevaState: Israel
"Would it justify it to claim that a mythical being gave it
to my g-g-g-grandfather?" (David)

No, it would not.
But it is a problem of political freedom for a whole nation,
much more than simply of real-estate lost and reclaimed.
For 20 centuries, the Jews have stayed a distinct nation, and there
is no reason at all this nation should be deprived
of a homeland of its own.

"After being forcibly exiled from their land, the people kept faith
with it throughout their Dispersion and never ceased to pray
and hope for their return to it and for the restoration in it
of their political freedom.
Impelled by this historic and traditional attachment, Jews strove
in every successive generation to re-establish themselves
in their ancient homeland."

Ps/ "We are being asked to support on the 60th anniversary etc ..."
(David)
That is not true. No one is asking you to support anything.
