| The best thing my country could do right now is wash its hands of Israel and let it live or die on its own. No more money, no more weapons and no more vetoes in the UN would be the first step in restoring the USA to its former glory, while leaving Isarelis to decide their own path of their own. By siding with Israel, my country is doing ourselves great harm and hurting our relationships with the major oil producing nations in the region which are far more important to our well being than Israel will ever be. Hopefully our new president will have the wisdom to distance ourselves from Israel and join the world in its condemnation and pressure upon Israel that it so definitely deserves. Only by ending its support of racist and immoral regimes such as Israel can we show the world the value of a multicultural society where all people are seen as equals where equality, justice and the rule of law can ensure the rights and freedom of all its citizens, not just for a "chosen" few |
