Folks, I think we have a problem of international differences in laws and the differences in their application.

We do not have any difference in morals, morality, criminality or honesty and decency.

There is only one reason that people give money to politicians. That they think that politician will do things to benefit the person who gives the money.

If it is a person of modest means who gives a small amount that can be seen as what it was, an attempt to influence the system by promoting someone who appealed to the underclass.

When a rich man - or corporation - gives an immense amount to an individual politicians the reality becomes something different.

The politician had better pay off in return, or the next time his opponent will receive the graft.

There is no difference between a campaign contribution and a bribe.

It is a mere difference in the name of words. The truth remains, "the man who pays the piper, calls the tune."

Anything which accepts contributions is corrupt.
