In Gaza the people voted for Hamas and so their U.S. backed rivals Fatah were trained up and encouraged to clamp down on them. The result - Hamas routed Fatah and now control the whole place.
Similarly in Lebanon the U.S. backed government was urged to take on Hezbollah. The result - Hezbollah clipped its ear and the army had to step in to allow the government to climb down.
Anyone who sees this as any sort of set back for Hezbollah should queue up for some of Clickfool`s lemonade. |
