Lebanon survived:

- Iran (AKA Hisbolla) They do not have "that phenomenon"
When asked about gay rights in Iran, the Iranian president, during his Q&A at Columbia University last year, said "We do not have that phenomenon in Iran."
(Type "We do not have that phenomenon in Iran" in Google and have fun.)

- 29 years of barbaric Syrian occupation.

- A century of French influence that made French the second language of Lebanon

- 450 years of Ottoman (Turkish) occupation and the only influence the Ottomans have on the Lebanese is the Shawarma sandwich plus a handful of words in the Lebanese dictionary.

- Centuries of Mamluk`s occupation. They have no traceable influence other than a small plaque on the banks of the Dog River East of Beirut.

I am confident that Lebanon and Israel are safe with Iran as long as they do not have "that phenomenon."
